Quality garments deserve quality care. This guide covers the specific needs of delicate fabrics to help them last for years.
Silk
Hand wash in cool water with gentle detergent, or dry clean. Never wring—roll in a towel to remove excess water. Iron on low heat with a pressing cloth.
Cashmere
Hand wash or use the delicate cycle with a mesh bag. Lay flat to dry. Store folded (never hung) with cedar balls to deter moths.
Leather
Condition every 6 months. Store in a breathable garment bag away from direct sunlight.
Linen
Machine washable but prone to shrinking. Wash in cool water and tumble dry low. Embrace the natural wrinkles—they're part of linen's charm.
